The IEP was founded to bring awareness and scientific expertise in the treatment of acute, chronic and traumatic stress disorders when therapies for patients suffering from psychotraumatic disorders were still not well differentiated from those used for patients suffering from other psychic pathologies.
For many years, and sometimes still today, we meet patients whose psychotraumatic or stress disorder has been treated in a generic way or even confused with other syndromes due to the similarity of the psychotraumatic symptoms with those due to anxiety, depression, or psychosis.
The need to bring the treatment of psychotraumatic disorders to the highest level of specialization and differentiation from all other treatments and to give these patients diagnoses and therapies carried out by highly specialized personnel in this area, is the first objective that still IEP continues to pursue.

DIAGNOSIS, TREATMENTS AND THERAPIES, ALSO CROSS-CULTURAL ORIENTED

We offer these services through our advanced training courses in Psychology of health emergencies and MPTT Traumatherapy for psychologists, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists, and by bringing together professionals already expert in the field of treatment of psychotraumatic syndromes.
Our approach to people suffering from the consequences of stressful or traumatic events is a multidimensional and psychodynamic approach that does not reduce treatment to the application of techniques but takes care of the patient in their biological, psychological, existential, relational, and even spiritual complexity. Only in this way people will be able to take a new path after a trauma.

PSYCHOLOGICAL TECHNICAL CONSULTANCIES (PTC)

Finally, we provide expert services and technical consultancy aimed at identifying and quantifying the biological damage deriving from the outcomes of traumatic incidents.
